Title: Drive Me Crazy
Author: Tracy Wolff
Release Date: February 24, 2014
Former rivals Quinn Bradford and Elise McKinney are not friends, at least not anymore. As teens, all they cared about was psyching each other out before concerts. But when Quinn—now the keyboardist for Shaken Dirty, the hottest rock band on the scene—returns to his hometown and hears about the car accident that shattered Elise’s career, he’s determined to make things right.
Elise wants nothing to do with an arrogant rock star, despite how bad she so clearly wants him, so Quinn kidnaps the stubborn little piano player and whisks her back to his mansion. A little seduction might be just the thing to keep Elise under his care…and in his bed. But amid pranks both childish and very adult, their past comes rearing back to haunt them. And it might be more than either of them can forget.
Thoughts on Drive Me Crazy
This is my first book in the Shaken Dirty Series and while it's a series, it was easy to jump in where I did and not feel left behind. Tracy Wolff brings the whole cast into Quinn and Elise's book and brings it all together in a way that makes me want to find this first book right now and hope that Wyatt's story is coming SOON.
But for Drive Me Crazy, Quinn and Elise are wonderful characters that are passionate about their music but also supremely funny and witty. A right perfect combination. They were great parts funny, aloud and in their thoughts, and serious. They've known each other for years and competed against each other in music and in pranking each other. Their banter gave way to one memorable night as teenagers before Quinn lit out at dawn. So you can imagine Elise's surprise when Quinn shows up in her hospital room after the tragic accident.
I loved this two together. I kind of expected them to jump back into a relationship or at least a loose one with all the history they had but they didn't. Quinn and Elise regrew a wonderful friendship before they took the relationship step as grown ups. They grew together and helped Elise face her new realities in a refreshing way. While Quinn wanted to do for her, he stood back and didn't smother Elise and helped her in the way that worked best for her.
Drive Me Crazy is a great second in the series and continues to grow the series while giving each couple a chance to shine. The passion is hot and the characters are fun and witty. If you haven't read Tracy Wolff's Brazen series, please start now!
About The AuthorTracy Wolff collects books, English degrees and lipsticks and has been known to forget where—and sometimes who—she is when immersed in a great novel. At six she wrote her first short story—something with a rainbow and a prince—and at seven she forayed into the wonderful world of girls lit with her first Judy Blume novel. By ten she’d read everything in the young adult and classics sections of her local bookstore, so in desperation her mom started her on romance novels. And from the first page of the first book, Tracy knew she’d found her life-long love. Now an English professor at her local community college, she writes romances that run the gamut from contemporary to paranormal to erotic suspense.
And for all of those who want the unedited version:
Tracy Wolff lives with four men, teaches writing to local college students and spends as much time as she can manage immersed in worlds of her own creation. Married to the alpha hero of her dreams for twelve years, she is the mother of three young sons who spend most of their time trying to make her as crazy as possible.
