{ let's get physical - december }



Simply Evani started a brand new link up about health and fitness this week and I've just started my own health and fitness journey I could use the support and more accountability. 








To work out at least 3 days a week 
I did...most of the month.  The week of Thanksgiving was just crazy with holiday plans and having all the kids and the husband home for 5 days meant for no me time.  I did however stack almost 2 cords of wood this month so I am working on my upper body and arms in a alternate way.  I can honestly say though if stacking wood was something I was doing to workout out on purpose and not because we'd freeze this winter...I'd have quit.  No lie.

Drink at least 5 glasses of water a day
Again with the Thanksgiving.  There were just so many sweet beverages and egg nog, oh my the egg nog!, that I sucked down more of that than water that week.  I have discovered those little flavor packets you put in your water bottle though.  I'm not sure how much of a taste difference they make though. 

Use Spark People everyday.
After I got the hang of it and all my "preferences filled out it went better.  I need to get my act together better though because if Thanksgiving threw me off this month can you imagine what the whole week of Christmas and New Years is going to do?


 I'm still the master of rationalizing why I don't have time to workout or what else I should do instead.
I tell myself that one glass of pop won't hurt...and then I refill it.
If I don't workout during the daytime, I know I have no time in the evening and I'm pretty sure I sabotage myself most of the time.

I'm going to keep with the same goals so I don't feel too much pressure this month.  I didn't go too bad around Thanksgiving but I can see how easy it is to lose track of your goals and eat that  extra (plus several) piece of pie or cake.  And a handful or two of cookies.

  8. I've had a spark people account for a long time, but never only used it a long time ago a few times. I was just thinking it might be smart to start logging what I ate and if and when I exercised. Thanks for the reminder about that service.

    Also, I understand about rationalizing why you should do XYZ instead of exercising and exercising earlier in the day. I feel like when I work out in the morning the rest of the day just goes so much better. Endorphins maybe?
