Before I started blogging I have followed the Nester's 31 Days project. It's always been interesting to see all the different things that people dedicated 31 days too. I thought hard about participating, but in reality I've only been writing for a few months and I wondered if I could dedicate myself to everyday. And what if I fail? What if, what if what if...
Well I'm taking it on.
Welcome to 31 Days of Reading.
I'll still be posting all my other crazy things and these posts will most likely be varying sizes but I'm going to do this.
I've written book club reviews and a little of what I've read in Roundups and I read a lot of other blogs about books and literacy and want to share more with you about what I read and my feelings on books in general.
I learned to read when I was four years-old and I never looked back. I started with Rose Petal Series, Care Bears and the Charlie Brown Encyclopedias. I moved onto Sweet Valley Twins and the Babysitters Club next. I wanted to be in the Babysitters Club so bad. I creeped myself out with Christopher Pike and R.L. Stine. And I felt so grown up when I read my first Nora Roberts book.
My tastes in books have changed over the years and it's still something that brings me great joy. I can banish a bad mood with a good book almost every time. There's something about losing yourself in another world that just takes all your problems away. At least for me. I have my favorite books and I can reread them time and time again. They never ever get boring and they are always there for me.
I am joining the 31 Days Series. 31 Days of Books. I'll be sharing with some of my favorite books, my favorite books for little ones all the way to adults, and how reading has changed over the years.
