Are you a Twi-hard? That sounds so weird. I've never, ever seen a whirlwind around a series like this before in my life. Even Harry Potter. I want to start off by saying I like the Twilight series. I refuse to call it a saga because that just sounds dumb to me. I never heard that until the movies and I'm not talking about the movies. Ok, I will below but it's not the point.
The point is that it's a pretty decent series. On the surface. I didn't discover the series personally until the month before Breaking Dawn was to be released. I picked up the first book and read it in a few days and make the trip back to purchase the other two immediately. I also may or may not have made to trip myself to get Breaking Dawn at midnight when it was released too. The husband didn't like Twilight like he does Harry Potter, so I was on my own.
The books are good. It's a love story about overcoming obstacles to be with the one you love. Yeah, if my daughter ever went into a catatonic state because a "boy" left her, I'd probably "talk" some sense into her and want to do more than talk to the boy. He only left because he didn't want to hurt her is garbage to me. I have a big issue with that Edward Cullen. At the same time I love the idea of a love story where they can't live without each other and will do anything to be together-including become a vampire. Fans are divided as politicians on whether you are Team Edward to Team Jacob.
This also a good example on how fans of the book can confuse the characters with reality. Did any of the cast have any idea what they were signing on for? It seems like a touchy subject to me almost like politics and religion to some fans. Are your Team Edward or Team Jacob?
And because I am Team Edward here is a gratuitous shot of Robert Pattinson, because yeah, he's a cutie.
