{ 31 days of books - dr. seuss }

There are a lot of great children's authors out there and I mentioned one of my favorites yesterday but only a few are beloved by children and adults.  Who is the most beloved of all? You else but the man who crated Whoville.

I'm talking about Dr. Seuss.

I love Dr. Seuss.  They are my absolute favorite, hands down, best books that I love to read to my children. All of his books are a peek inside a wonderful world of smiles and joy.  Look at me- I 'm gushing.

My very fist Dr. Seuss book was Green Eggs and Ham.  I didn't even like eggs, yet I wanted green eggs for breakfast.

That year I also got How the Grinch Stole Christmas for my birthday.  I'd already seen the cartoon, but hey, books are better!  And don't even get me started on the Jim Carrey movie version.  Who's idea was that?

Another great thing is all the crafts and educational projects that have been developed around Dr. Seuss books.  You can find several Pinboards here with more ideas than you can probably handle.

And I can't forget the quotes.  My dream is to someday have this quote on my boys wall...

And my favorite Dr. Seuss pin of all...

  1. Dr. Seuss was brilliant. I so miss reading Green Eggs and Ham with my babies--at 21, 11 and 7, they think they've left Dr. Seuss behind. Wait until they read him with their own children. I still can't bring myself to pack up his wonderful books--they still reside on our youngest son's too full bookshelf.
