{ bloggy book club week 4 - fifty shades of grey }

I am kinda sad that we are almost done with this book. Maybe some future discussions could be about the other books in the trilogy, hint hint.  I am looking forward to the our next book because it's out of my usual choice of reading material.  The author and the storyline are something I've never read before and I'm going to be out of my comfort zone.  But we're still with Christian and Ana and here are my thoughts on this weeks questions...

1. Do you think Christian is capable of loving Ana?

Yes I do.  Bottom line.  Everyone loves in a different way and  we love people in different ways.  Christian knew familial love with the Grey's but it was Ana that sparked the love that you feel for that one person that means everything to you.

There's a lot more you could say on that but I'd feel like I was repeating myself so I'll repeat myself one more time and say I believe very much that Christian is capable of loving Ana.  He just has to work on better ways to express that love...*cough* stalker *cough*.

2. How do you feel about Christian's relationship with Elena? What was in your head when you found out they were business partners?

My first thought- for a smart guy he can be really stupid.  And then for him to actually bring Ana to Elena's salon when he knew how Ana felt about her- really stupid.  Really, really stupid.  It also proved to me a little bit that Christian was still somewhat a "normal" guy inside because most men do dumb stuff like that all the time.  For example taking new girlfriend to a restaurant where the ex-girlfriend is a waitress for dinner when there's a chance she might (will) be working because said guy loves the 2 pound hamburger there.  And their chili cheese fries.  Just sayin.

I don't think that Christan thinks that he has a "relationship" with Elena anymore in his mind and that it is just business. I think he was rather surprised at the Fundraiser Gala at how Elena reacted towards Ana and I was surprised that he told her to back off.  He also does the guy thing there and thinks that she's just showing concern when us girls really know she's trying to show us their history together and perhaps scare us away.

Next week is the last week and the new selection is Fallen by Lauren Kate.  Laters, baby.

  1. Haha awesome! Love the laters, baby! :)Thank you participating yet again!! I always love reading what you have to say.

    I hope that you enjoy reading Fallen with us next round! I have to say I'm a bit nervous about it as well, but hey we all need to get a little crazy now and again, right? :)
